I got one skill point on one crew, for a five plane fly out, 8 air kills, 3 ground kills (including a destroyer) in a match we lost. It’s one of the most abusive grind components of the game. Anyway you can level up other skill too cause the last two are not a priority. Expert and Ace crews will add a bonus on top of whatever skill your crew already has (even at 'max', +5). Personally, I go for the specialized skill first (reload+leadership, driving+aiming then comms), since they have a big impact on your crew for a low amount of pts.
